Dr. Gamil “Jimmy” Dawood has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. After graduating from medical school in Egypt, he completed his residency in Opthalmology. Then he became a board-certified physician and practiced Opthalmology.
He came to the United States and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama. As a board-certified Internist, he joined the faculty of University of South Alabama as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, where he taught and supervised medical students and residents; he also practiced Internal Medicine for 6 years.
Next he joined the Mobile Emergency Group, providing emergency care for 6 years at the Infirmary Health System Emergency Rooms.
Then he started Immediate Care of the South, providing Urgent Care for 4 years to Mobile residents.
